Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Dios es Amor. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Dios es Amor (“we”, “the app”, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the application you accept these Terms. We ask you to read them calmly: they are written to care for our community of faith. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Acceptance of the Terms
By signing up or using Dios es Amor you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
These Terms apply to every person who accesses the Service.
Description of the Service
Dios es Amor is a Catholic community to pray, listen to and read spiritual content (prayers, psalms, the rosary, novenas, the gospel of the day, Bible stories, saints and more), read the Bible, discover new content and share posts with other people of faith. Its purpose is to accompany your prayer life.
The content is devotional in nature and does NOT replace the guidance of your parish, your priest, or a physical or mental health professional.
Eligibility and minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app (or 16 years old if you reside in the European Economic Area, or the minimum age required by the law of your country).
If you are a minor, you declare that you have the permission of your father, mother or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. Use is not allowed for people whose account has been suspended or withdrawn.
Your account and your password
You create your account with your email address and a password. To confirm that the email is yours we send a code to that same address and you type it into the app; that code is only for verifying your email.
If one day you forget your password, tap “Forgot my password” on the sign in screen: we send you a new, different code, and with that code you choose a new password. Your password is not stored the way you type it: we store it turned into a fingerprint that cannot be turned back into the original (what is called a “hash”), so nobody, not even us, can see it.
Choose a password you do not use on other sites and do not give it to anyone. You are responsible for what is done from your account and for keeping your data truthful. Tell us right away if you see something you do not recognize. The account is personal: do not lend it or pass it to another person.
Content you share
You keep ownership of the content you publish (texts, photos, videos, comments and prayer intentions). By sharing it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, free and transferable license solely to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content inside the Service in order to operate it.
You are solely responsible for what you publish and you declare that you have the rights to do so.
Community guidelines (prohibited content and conduct)
We apply ZERO TOLERANCE to objectionable content and abusive behavior. It is forbidden to publish content that is: offensive, hateful or discriminatory; violent, graphic or inciting harm; sexual, pornographic or involving minors; harassment, threats or intimidation; identity impersonation; spam, scams or unauthorized advertising; harmful false information; or that violates the rights of third parties, the law or the dignity of the faith.
Harassing other users is also forbidden. Whoever breaks these rules may have their content removed and their account suspended or deleted.
Reports, moderation and blocking
You can report any post, comment or profile from the “···” menu, and you can block other users so that they do not interact with you. We review reports of objectionable content and act on them —including removing the content and ejecting the person responsible— within 24 hours at most.
We reserve the right to moderate, hide or delete content and to suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.
Intellectual property
The app, its brand, design, logos, software and the official content (guided prayers, illustrations, audios and texts that we publish) are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to us or are used under license.
You may not copy, modify, distribute them or create derivative works without authorization.
Spiritual nature of the content
The devotional content seeks to accompany you, not to replace pastoral accompaniment or professional care.
If you are going through a crisis or a health emergency, go to your doctor, to the emergency services of your country or to a helpline; the app is not an emergency service.
Price: the app is free
Dios es Amor is currently offered free of charge: there are no payments, subscriptions or purchases inside the app, and all available content is free.
In the future we could introduce paid features or content; if we do, we will inform you clearly before charging and any purchase will be handled through the App Store or Google Play under their conditions (including renewal and cancellation from the store). You will never be charged for features that are free today without being told.
Privacy
The processing of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we use, for what purpose and what rights you have. By using the app you accept that processing.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app Menu (Profile tab › three lines button, top right) › Delete account, or by writing to us at soporte@diosesamorporsiempre.cloud. When you delete it, we close your profile and erase or anonymize your personal data, except for what we must keep by legal obligation.
You can also stop using the app at any time.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or the law, or if your conduct puts the community at risk. You can terminate this agreement by deleting your account.
The sections that by their nature must survive (intellectual property, liability, indemnity) will remain in force after termination.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is offered "as is" and "as available", with the greatest possible care. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free or secure at all times, nor that the content will be accurate or complete.
To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for losses arising from content published by other people, from the use or impossibility of use of the Service, or from decisions you make based on the spiritual content, which is devotional in nature.
Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless against third party claims arising from your content, from your use of the app or from your breach of these Terms or of the law.
App stores (Apple and Google)
If you obtained the app on Apple's App Store or on Google Play, you also accept the conditions of that store. Support for the app is provided by us, not by Apple or Google.
You acknowledge that Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content and that, in Apple's case, it is a third party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them. You declare that you are not in a country subject to embargo nor on lists of prohibited parties.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of relevant changes inside the app or by other means.
If you keep using the app after the effective date, you accept the version in force.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala, without prejudice to the rights that the law of your country of residence grants you as a consumer.
Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Guatemala, unless the law provides otherwise.
